ติดตั้ง Twitter Gadget เพื่อใช้ Twitter ใน Gmail

สวัสดีครับ

สำหรับพวกเราหลายๆ คนที่ใช้ Twitter เป็นกิจวัตร  ผมมีวิธีการติดตั้ง Twitter Gadget ลงใน Gmail มาฝากครับ  หลัีงติดตั้งแล้ว เราสามารถใช้ Twitter ไปพร้อมๆ กับการทำงานใน Gmail 

รายละเอียด Features ของ Twitter Gadget for Gmail 

• OAuth authentication, your Twitter account password is not required.
• Supports multiple Twitter accounts
• Mark all as read(like Google Reader)
• Automatically refresh
• Reply, Re-tweet inline
• View reply to inline
• Gmail look and feel
• SSL support
• (new)Share tweets with your friends(your Gmail friends group' contacts)
• (new)Twitter Search

 ส่วนวิธีการติดตั้ง Twitter Gadget for Gmail ให้ทำดังนี้ครับ

• Click ที่ Settings>Labs> enable “Add any gadget by URL” และ  Save Changes
• Click ที่ Settings>Gadgets
• พิมพ์ https://twittergadget.appspot.com/gadget-gmail.xml ลงใน box และ click 'Add'

หลังจากติดตั้ง Twitter Gadget For Gmail แล้ว เราจะได้ Twitter Gadget อยู่ทางด้านซ้ายของ Gmail ซึ่งเราต้องพิมพ์ twitter user name และ twitter password เพื่อ authorize access twitter 

หลังจากนี้ เราก็สามารถใช้งาน twitter ใน Gmail แล้วครับ  โดยการพิมพ์ข้อความในช่อง input status และ click ที่ twitter link หรือ profile image เพื่อแสดง twitter home

Drag And Drop Label ทำให้การใช้ Gmail ยิ่งสะดวกขึ้น

สวัสดีครับ

ข้อแตกต่างระหว่าง Gmail กับ Webmail รายอื่นๆ ก็คือ Gmail ใช้ Labels และ Starred ในการจัดเก็บข้อมูล ในขณะที่ Webmail ทั่วๆ ไป จะใช้ Folders ในการจัดเก็บ

ตอนนี้ Gmail ได้มีการปรับปรุงวิธีการทำงาน รวมทั้ง location ของ Label ในหน้า Gmail  เพื่อความสะดวกในการใช้งานยิ่งขึ้น  พอสรุปได้ดังนี้ครับ

New Location For Labels  จากที่เคยมี section สำหรับ Labels จากนี้ไป Labels จะถูกย้ายมาอยู่ในหมวดหมู่เดียวกับ  inbox/starred/sent/trash email section

Label Hiding And Showing  พวกเราสามารถกำหนด Label ที่ต้องการให้แสดง ส่วน Label ที่เหลือจะถูกซ่อนไว้ ซึ่งสามารถเรียกใช้งานได้ทันทีด้วยการ click ที่ More

 การ set ค่าสำหรับแต่ละ Label ก็ทำได้ง่ายๆ ด้วยการ click ที่ down-arrow ที่ด้านซ้ายของ Label

Drag And Drop   ด้วย feature Drag And Drop ทำให้การทำงานของ Label คล้ายกับ Folder ยิ่งขึ้น และเพิ่มความสะดวกสำหรับผู้ใช้งานมากขึ้นจริงๆ 

ถ้าเรา drag Label ไปยัง Email ฉบับใด  ระบบก็จะ 'label  email' ฉบับนั้นทันที

และถ้าเรา drag email ไปยัง Label  ระบบก็จะ 'label and archive' email ฉบับนั้นทันทีเช่นกัน

ผมลองเข้าไปใช้งานดูแล้ว  รู้สึกว่าสะดวกกว่าเดิมเยอะครับ

Download ได้แล้ว Firefox 3.5

สวัสดีครับ

ขออนุญาตแจ้งให้ทราบอีกครั้งว่า Firefox 3.5 ล่าสุดจาก Mozilla Firefox เปิดให้ download แล้วครับ  พวกเราสามารถ download ได้จาก : http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html

Firefox 3.5 มี feature ใหม่ๆ หลายอย่าง แต่ที่สำคัญๆ ได้แก่

• JavaScript  ที่ช่วยให้การทำงานของ Web Applications เช่น Gmail, Google Doc เร็วยิ่งขึ้น
• สามารถ Show Video จาก website  โดยไม่ต้องอาศัย Plug-ins
• Private Browsing Mode
• Fancy Downloadable Fonts 

หลังจากที่ Firefox สามารถปลดล็อคตลาด browser ที่เคยอยู่ในมือของ Internet Explorer ได้สำเร็จ การแข่งขันในตลาด browser เพิ่มความร้อนแรงยิ่งขึ้น เมื่อ Safari, Google Chrome และ Opera ต่างก็สามารถเพิ่ม share ในตลาดมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ

หลังจากเปิดให้ download  ตั้งแต่เมื่อวานนี้ (ตามเวลาในสหรัฐอเมริกา)  อัตราการ download อยู่ที่วินาทีละ 80 - 109 ครั้ง  ส่วนในไทยเราเมื่อเวลา 8.30 น. ของวันที่ 1/7/2552  มีผู้ download แล้ว 8,292 คน
